Container Devanning & Loading Services

Container devanning — sometimes called container unloading or unstuffing — is the process of unloading goods from a shipping container into a warehouse. It sounds simple, but the difference between a good devanning operation and a poor one shows up in damaged stock, missed pallets, disputed shortages and demurrage charges. The Fulfilment Centre handles thousands of pallets a year of imported cargo across our UK depots, and our devanning process is built around protecting your goods and your invoicing.

We handle 20ft and 40ft containers, both standard and high-cube, whether floor-loaded loose, floor-stacked in cartons, or already palletised at origin. Loose loads are counted as they come off, cross-checked against your packing list, and palletised to your specification. Damaged cartons are quarantined and photographed. Discrepancies are reported to you the same day so you can raise them with the shipper while the evidence is fresh.

As a UK fulfilment warehouse near the Port of Felixstowe, London Gateway and Tilbury, our Ipswich and Essex depots are well positioned for cost-efficient haulage from the main container ports. Devanned pallets can be racked, block-stacked, sorted, labelled or immediately dispatched — with no second handling and no separate suppliers.

For outbound cargo, our team also loads containers for export, palletised or floor-loaded, with photographed loading logs and container seal records supplied for your records and your customs paperwork.
